(Chiang Mai, May 18, 2023)Following the first successful phase of ‘Fly Green Metro Forest’ in Bangkok, Thai Vietjet accomplished its 2nd ‘Fly Green Metro Forest’ in Chiang Mai, with 70 participants of passengers, members, students, and staff joining hands in planting trees at Royal Park Rajapruek, Chiang Mai, on May 18, 2023.   

 

The 'Fly Green Metro Forest' project stems from the airline's environmental fund, the 'Fly Green Fund,' which was established in early 2021 with the ultimate goal of supporting the Seub Nakhasathien Foundation's environmental preservation activities in Thailand to protect the forest and endangered wildlife. 

 

The main goal of the "Fly Green Metro Forest" project is to create additional green spaces in Thailand's urban regions. Following the first Fly Green Metro Forest's success in Bangkok, it is now time to expand to Chiang Mai.

Since the establishment of the Fly Green Fund, Thai Vietjet has consistently been carrying out a wide range of environmental projects and activities, including 'Garbage Hunter' – a project with the purpose of removing garbage from various locations in Thailand, ‘Fly Green Charity Golf Day’ – the first charity golf tournament under Fly Green Fund, ‘Fly Green Metro Forest’ – a project to increase more green areas in the urban cities in Thailand, and ‘Vietjet Fly Green Charity Concert’ – an event to create awareness about environmental issues among music fans and raise funds from concert tickets sales to support Sueb Nakhasathien Foundation’s environmental preservation activities.
