Bangkok, 26 May 2026 - Vietjet Thailand continues to strengthen its Thailand–Japan flight network with the addition of frequency on Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) – Tokyo (Narita) route, following continued growth in traffic and advance booking trend, alongside rising travel demand between Thailand and Japan. The added capacity reflects the airline’s confidence in the long-term potential of the Japan market, with the additional service set to commence from 6 November 2026, increasing to 11 flights per week from current daily service.
The Bangkok–Narita has become one of the airline’s most popular international services. Since its launch in February 2026, the service has received positive response from both Thai and international travelers, performing stably high load factor, and partially reflecting sustained travel demand between Thailand and Japan despite ongoing challenges across the aviation and tourism industries.
“The additional frequency will strengthen Vietjet Thailand’s competitiveness within the Northeast Asia market while supporting trade and travel connectivity between Thailand and Japan. The expansion is also expected to contribute to the Tourism Authority of Thailand’s target of attracting 1.2 million Japanese visitors to Thailand in 2026. At the same time, the move aligns with the airline’s broader 2026 expansion strategy, supported by the planned delivery of additional Boeing 737-8 aircraft throughout the year. Continued expansion of the fleet, route network, and service frequency will further strengthen Vietjet Thailand’s position as one of Thailand’s fastest-growing airlines, while reinforcing its ambition to become a leading carrier connecting Thailand with key destinations across Asia-Pacific,” said Mr. Woranate Latprabang, CEO of Vietjet Thailand.

Currently, Vietjet Thailand operates the Bangkok–Narita route using Boeing 737-8 aircraft with 189 seats per flight. Flight schedule details are as follows:
