Bangkok, 18 February 2026 - Vietjet Thailand has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the College of Innovative Business and Accountancy (CIBA), Dhurakij Pundit University (DPU), to elevate academic learning toward workforce development in the aviation industry. The collaboration covers internship and cooperative education programs, industry-driven curriculum development, a joint talent database and job-matching mechanism, as well as short-term business and digital training programs for company personnel. The signing ceremony, held at Dhurakij Pundit University, reflects a shared commitment to sustainable human capital development.

Mr. Woranate Laprabang, Chief Executive Officer of Vietjet Thailand, stated that “Vietjet Thailand places strong emphasis on laying the foundation for the sustainable growth of Thailand’s aviation industry by collaborating with leading academic institutions to develop talent equipped with knowledge, skills, and a sense of social responsibility aligned with evolving market demands and future business directions. The partnership provides students with hands-on experience across various airline functions, preparing them for the workforce and potential career opportunities with Vietjet Thailand”.

Ms. Wasukarn Visansawatdi, Dean of the College of Innovative Business and Accountancy, Dhurakij Pundit University, added that “The partnership aligns with Dhurakij Pundit University’s mission to develop high-quality graduates capable of driving modern businesses and supporting economic growth. Students will gain insights from aviation industry professionals who share practical knowledge and real-world experience beyond classroom learning, equipping them with confidence to enter the workforce. Meanwhile, Vietjet Thailand personnel can further enhance their business management knowledge and skills through the faculty’s short-term training programs, including Mini MBA, Data Analytics, and AI for Business, strengthening the organization’s capability to drive business performance and effectively navigate changes in the digital aviation era”.

The Memorandum of Understanding supports strong recovery and expansion of Thailand’s aviation industry, reflected in rising passenger numbers, expanded routes, and continued investment in aviation infrastructure. This growth highlights increasing demand for specialized talent, particularly professionals who combine business expertise with data analytics and digital capabilities to support data-driven airline models. The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand projects that air travel volume will return to or exceed pre-COVID levels of around 160 million passengers in 2026, with airport capacity expanding to 200 million by 2027. The partnership therefore plays a strategic role in advancing Thailand’s ambition to become a regional aviation hub, with university-level workforce development serving as a key driver of long-term industry competitiveness.
